A Warrior Song
I'm in the mood to fight today,
My fears and doubts all went away,
It's time to test myself again,
To try to win or day in pain.
I've put again the armor on,
So many battles I have won,
Today again I have to fight,
The sun is high, the sky is bright...
I had a dream last night:
In pale moonlight
A trembling shadow
Came quietly through the window.
It looked like me,
It spoke like me,
A sword it draw
And then, like lightning,
Attacked me in the bed.
I jumped aside
And tried to stop
The hand and sword
Which seeded death.
But hand through hand
Passed, without touch
And a sword-shadow
Pierced then through my heart...
I never had such dreams before
So, if I die today, no more
Than for a moment you should mourn,
Above my body, cold and thorn,
Live goes ahead, and you, alike
Go on your way till death will strike
Again...
Armor and helmet,
Sword and hard courage,
Together be
A lightning,
Showing the way
Throughout this dream
Inside another dream.
Some people call it life...
